1. This is a DIN rail mechanical time switch, not a plug-in timer. It requires hardwired installation by a qualified electrician.
2. Do not exceed the rated contact capacity of 16(4)A. For high-power or motor loads, use the timer to control an external contactor.
3. The relay provides timing switching only. It does not offer overcurrent, short-circuit or leakage protection. A circuit breaker must be installed upstream.
4. Suitable for dry indoor distribution boxes only. Do not expose to rain, moisture or outdoor weather directly.
5. Always disconnect the main power supply before wiring. Installation must be performed by a qualified electrician.
6. Incorrect wiring may cause damage or malfunction. Check the terminal diagram before connection.
Wipe the transparent cover and housing with a dry soft cloth. Do not use wet cloth, alcohol or solvent cleaners.
Do not disassemble the unit. Unauthorized disassembly may cause electric shock and will invalidate certification. If the timer fails, stop using it immediately and disconnect the upstream power.
Q: Will my settings be lost after a power failure?
A: Mechanical timers do not rely on a backup battery for timekeeping, but you should recheck the time dial and switch position after a long power interruption.
Q: Can I control a large motor directly?
A: It is not recommended. Motor starting current is high. Use this timer to drive an external contactor, then connect the motor to the contactor.
Q: How do I set the time?
A: Rotate the analog dial to the current time, then set the required ON/OFF segments. Use the manual lever if you need to force output ON or OFF temporarily.
Q: Can I install it outdoors?
A: No. The unit itself is not waterproof. It must be installed in a dry indoor distribution box. If used outdoors, the enclosure must provide adequate IP protection and remain dry.
